What We Treat

Comprehensive care for a healthier you.

What Dental Care We Provide to You?

There are a variety of reasons why patients seek dental care from our dental office or other local dentists in the area. While the procedures and treatments are fairly standard from office to office, every patient is unique and you need a dentist who understands the complexities of your individual needs. Our dental office provides all patients with a complete oral exam to ensure your oral health is setup for success. The best way to stop serious symptoms is to catch them in their early stages and to develop a treatment plan to restore any issues that may have been caused. It is important for us that you understand what dental conditions there are, and what we can do to help.

Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth are the last to emerge, usually in the late teens or early twenties. While some people have no issues, most need them removed to prevent impaction and complications. Impacted teeth remain under the gums, often embedded in the jawbone, requiring tissue removal before extraction.

Grinding (Bruxism)

Teeth grinding, or bruxism, is the excessive grinding or clenching of teeth, often at night but sometimes during the day. Symptoms include jaw pain, headaches, and tooth sensitivity. If left untreated, it can lead to tooth wear, cracks, or damage to dental restorations.

Bad Breath (Halitosis)

Bad breath, or halitosis, is a persistent odor in the mouth often caused by dental issues, infections, dry mouth, or smoking. Bacteria trapped between teeth can contribute to the problem, so a strict oral hygiene routine—flossing, brushing, and using mouthwash twice daily—is essential.

Bleeding Gums

Bleeding gums are a common sign of gum disease but can also result from aggressive brushing or ill-fitting dentures. In most cases, it’s caused by gingivitis or gum disease, which occurs when bacteria build up on teeth, leading to plaque.

Cavities

Cavities are decayed areas of teeth that form holes due to plaque buildup, a mix of bacteria, saliva, and food particles. They start small but can grow if untreated. Since cavities often don’t cause pain early on, regular dental visits and digital X-rays help detect them before they worsen.

Cold Sores

Cold sores are small blisters near the mouth caused by the herpes simplex virus. While some carriers never experience breakouts, those with weak immune systems or high stress may get them more often. Symptoms include burning sensations on the lips or face, red blisters, fever, and muscle aches.

Gum Disease

Gum disease begins with gingivitis, an inflammation of the gums caused by poor oral hygiene, leading to swelling and bleeding when brushing or flossing. If left untreated, it can progress to periodontitis, causing red, swollen gums and gum recession.

Gum Recession

Gum recession occurs when gums pull away from the teeth, exposing the roots. It can result from periodontal disease, aggressive brushing, plaque buildup, hormonal changes, or genetics. If you experience gum recession, contact us to prevent further oral health issues.

Stained Teeth

A healthy smile is a priority for everyone, but over time, teeth may become stained. Discoloration can result from diet, drinks, poor oral hygiene, medications, and natural aging.

Tooth Sensitivity

Tooth sensitivity can be uncomfortable. If you experience tooth sensitivity when you eat or drink hot or cold items, this can be a sign of cavities or root exposure. This should be checked by your family dentist at your next dental appointment.

Snoring

Snoring is a noise that releases from our mouths when we sleep. It occurs when the muscles and soft tissues relax in the throat and mouth, which causes the tissues to vibrate as we breathe in and out.
