Dental Benefit Plan

Maximizing your benefits for affordable care.

Understanding your dental benefit plan?

At Generations Dentistry, we are happy to answer questions regarding dental benefit plans and treatment coverage. As we work together to maximize your benefit coverage, the following are a few important things to know:

Maximums

Most plans pay between $1,000 and $2,000 annually. Once reached, the patient is responsible for the remaining costs.

Covered Services

  • Preventive Care: Routine check-ups, cleanings, X-rays (80–100%)
  • Basic Procedures: Fillings, extractions, root canals (~80%)
  • Major Procedures: Crowns, bridges, dentures (~50%)
  • Orthodontics: Some plans may cover for those under 18

Deductibles and Copayments

Patients pay a deductible before coverage starts, usually applying to major services.

Accepted Benefits Plans

We accept a wide range of benefit plans to ensure our patients can access the care they need. We are happy to work with your benefit provider regardless of network status. Our team will help you understand your coverage and submit claims on your behalf so you can focus on your care.

It would be helpful for you to know your benefits coverage information before coming in as this will help speed along your treatment plans. Some of the questions we usually ask benefit providers include:

  • What is covered?
  • How much is covered?
  • What is the coverage limit amount?
  • Is there a deductible? (if so, how much?)
  • Can I choose other treatment options not listed on the plan but are in the same category of treatment?
  • Please provide all the details regarding this specific treatment option (provide treatment option)

It is important to note that insurance carriers do not release information to third parties (including orthodontic practices) even if we have informed and signed consent. So, we will do our best to ensure you know your limits before any treatment plans are started. It is also important to note that regardless of the benefits coverage, the patient is responsible for the cost of service. We may provide financing options depending on your individual situation and any patient who is looking for assistance should speak with our practice upon booking their next appointment.

Important Note: Having dental insurance does not always guarantee full coverage for all treatments. Your benefits determine what is covered, how much is paid, and which treatments are allowed. We will help you navigate these details and explore all available options.
